The most savvy of content publishers and their consultants choose Wordpress for building websites. The big question is ... what theme will you use? There is nothing more frustrating than having to manually dig around in your favorite theme's code to make it compatible with the new version of Wordpress, or having to re-customize a theme when a theme releases a new version. When we first watched the video demonstration of the Thesis Wordpress system we breathed a sigh of relief and were overjoyed at the same time. We have loved to use Wordpress for consulting projects and for our own websites, but the drama surrounding the theme choice was always a bit let down. Even though there are some excellent professional Wordpress themes out there, even the most well written, easily customized theme had a major flaw ... it was glued into Wordpress itself. Making any update to the theme or Wordpress itself, always runs the risk of breaking something.
Thesis changes the landscape in a major way. It's not just another theme, its a framework for building on Wordpress. We recommend checking out the video to see for yourself, but here are the reasons we use Thesis.

We like to think of Thesis as the last Wordpress theme we'll ever buy. The single site license is $87, and the developer license is $164. The developer license can be used on an unlimited amount of sites. These costs are a small price to pay to have a future proofed framework to build on. The Thesis theme is a must have for serious Wordpress users.
 
DISLIKES
Thesis is still evolving. Out of the box it is un-styled and plain looking. But Thesis is not trying to be a visual masterpiece, it is a framework. There are multiple places to get "Thesis skins", as a starting point for your customizations.
