OVERVIEW

E-mail marketing is a vital component of the overall marketing strategy of today’s successful business. If you’ve struggled with mounting successful e-mail marketing campaigns, then you can imagine how the right software can assist you with making a greater impact on potential customers. Software that combines effective e-mail publishing and tracking with user-friendly accessibility will help you meet your marketing goals with fewer frustrations.

LIKES

When it comes to features that really make the difference in e-mail marketing, iContact has the goods. After all, there are countless e-mail marketing programs available at all price points. We know, because we've tried out a bunch of them and always come back to icontact.

iContact boasts whitelisting agreements with major ISPs that allow you to see your message deliverability increase substantially, and SpamCheck ensures your lost message count goes down. Add to that blogging tools and tools for RSS feeds, and you start to see why this product really shines among its competitors.

iContact also features the ability to use surveys, and an autoresponder that provides potential clients with the immediate response they demand. In a tough economy, quick and efficient response time can make all the difference in gaining a new client. These are more specialized features that make iContact a “gold standard” type of product.

Making full use of the reporting functionality will improve your marketing message, simply because you can count click-throughs, as well as track sent, forwarded, bounced, delivered and unsubscribed messages. With an accurate accounting of the success of your message, you can calibrate and fine-tune your marketing strategy. Exportable charts and tables allow you to monitor your data in whatever way suits your business best. It definitely isn’t a “one size fits all” set of features. iContact allows you to personalize your experience to maximize your desired result.

Pricing is competitive, and whether you’re a large concern or a small business just getting started, there is a plan to fit your needs. iContact boasts clients on the Fortune 500 list, but is affordable for the small business budget.

Many small businesses don’t have the resources to employ a full-time marketing professional to design and create an attractive, attention-getting e-mail message. iContact offers a solution by having 250 templates from which to choose. This is a great help for those of us who don’t have degrees in art, design, or marketing!

Finally, the online community supported by iContact gives you the opportunity to find new content, meet others like yourself, and to discuss content put out by publishers. Give and get feedback on content, as well, if you so choose.

DISLIKES

iContact offers an extremely competitive product to help take e-mail marketing to the next level, for sure, but could certainly integrate conversion tracking for an improved total package. In addition, Google Analytics integration would be beneficial.
